Anti-Racism Initiative

The City of Wetaskiwin and the Diversity and Inclusion Task Force are conducting an anti-racism campaign to open a dialogue about racism in Wetaskiwin. Prejudice and discrimination against others because of their race or ethnicity—whether conscious or unconscious—negatively affects everyone in our community by ostracizing people of colour and creating a hostile environment.

The goal of the campaign is to increase the awareness of how our actions and words affect others in the community while highlighting the benefits of diversity and inclusion within Wetaskiwin.

The first step is collecting community feedback through the survey found below. Please help us understand what you would like to see from an anti-racism campaign by completing the survey before April 11, 2022.
