The City of Wetaskiwin retained HM Aero Aviation Consulting to conduct a study to assess the future economic and development potential of the Wetaskiwin Regional Airport. Based on industry best practices, research, and feedback gathered from key airport tenants, businesses, and organizations, the consultant team has developed the Wetaskiwin Regional Airport Master Plan. The plan includes research completed to date on the airport’s role, growth opportunities, and regional context, as well as the preliminary investments to support the feasible and sustainable growth of the airport.
City Council approved the plan during its regular meeting Monday, January 8, 2024 and the finalized Wetaskiwin Regional Airport Master Plan is available to read HERE.
